गीली ओंस बूंद
कोमल सर्दी की गुलाबी ठिठुरन
गणतंत्र दिवस फुटबॉल स्पर्धा
पूरे चांद की आधी रात
आज नई सज-धज से
गणतंत्र दिवस फिर आया है।
नव परिधान बसंती रंग का
माता ने पहनाया है।

भीड़ बढ़ी स्वागत करने को
बादल झड़ी लगाते हैं।
रंग-बिरंगे फूलों में
ऋतुराज खड़े मुस्काते हैं।

धरनी मां ने धानी साड़ी

Republic Day of India
India is the world's biggest democratic nation. Though India got freedom against British rule on 15th of August 1947, but till 1950 we do not have our own law and order to follow. The 26th of January 1950, was the dawn of world's biggest democracy, when we got our own constitution and India became a republic nation. From then on, this day has been declared as a national festival of India and we celebrate this day as Republic Day of India. The word republic means a country that is ruled by people, elected by the the people of that nation.  
Today we have completed 63 years with our own constitution and proud to be a part of the world's biggest democracy. This is our privilege that we are the citizens of a secular nation. Our constitution provides us freedom to travel anywhere in India, freedom to adopt any religion we like to follow, we can arrange public meeting; we can express and share our thoughts etc. Being a citizen of a democratic nation, we not only have many rights but also many responsibilities to carry out.  
Republic day celebration On 26th January of every year, we celebrate our Republic day. This is India's national festival and also declared as national holiday. On the eve of Republic day, cultural programmes are arranged in school, colleges and different public places. Political and social meeting also arranged for considering social and national issues. National flag is furled not only at government offices but also at public places. National anthem beats inspire the countrymen with feelings of patriotism.  
The main attraction of Republic day is the special Republic day parade taken out at Rajpath, in front of India gate in our capital Delhi. Early in the morning people from all over India, start to gather at Rajpath to watch this parade. People, who can't go there, watch it on television. Some foreign ministers are also invited as chief guests on this occasion. Indian Prime minister with other ministers and chiefs of armed forces also arrive at Rajpath. With the arrival of Indian President and foreign chief guest, the national flag furls sky high.  
The bravery awards are distributed to brave soldiers, martyrs, brave citizens and brave children. Brave children are brought by elephants on this occasion. After this Republic day parade starts with the flag march of all Indian forces. Indian president takes the salute of all Indian armed forces. Armed strength of the country has been shown in this parade. Tableau from many states of India and Union territories, are the center of attraction for everyone on this occasion. The Rashtrapati Bhawan and important government buildings are decorated with light in the evening.   
How we should celebrate this festival? This is the festival of proud for our nation. Every countryman should participate in this occasion. We should also remember our freedom fighters on this day. This is an occasion of patriotism, unity; peace, love, proud, happiness and inspiration. We should make some principle on this occasion and try to be loyal to our duties and nation.

राष्ट्रीय पर्व भारत की आजादी 15 अगस्‍त 1947 के बाद कई बार संशोधन करने के पश्चात भारतीय संविधान को अंतिम रूप दिया गया जो 3 वर्ष बाद यानी 26 नवंबर 1950 को आधिकारिक रूप से अपनाया गया। तब से 26 जनवरी को हम गणतंत्र दिवस मनाते आ रहे हैं। इस बार हम 67वाँ गणतंत्र दिवस मनाएँगे।  
भारतीय लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था ने कई उतार-चढ़ाव देखे हैं और इस दौरान लोगों में लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था के प्रति असंतोष भी व्याप्त होता गया। असंतोष का कारण भ्रष्ट शासन और प्रशासन तथा राजनीति का अपराधिकरण रहा। भारत में बहुत से ऐसे व्यक्ति और संगठन हैं जो भारतीय संविधान के प्रति श्रद्धा नहीं रखते।  
व्यर्थ है असंतोष : इस अश्रद्धा का कारण हमारा संविधान नहीं है। माओवादी जैसे पूर्वोत्तर के अन्य संगठन आज भी यदि सक्रिय है तो कारण सिर्फ इतना है कि भ्रष्ट गैर जिम्मेदार राजनीतिज्ञों और अपराधियों के चलते उनका लोकतंत्र से विश्वास उठ गया। लेकिन समझने वाली बात यह है कि लादी गई व्यस्था और तानाशाह कभी दुनिया में ज्यादा समय तक नहीं चल पाया। माना कि लोकतंत्र की कई खामियाँ होती है, लेकिन तानाशाही या धार्मिक कानून की व्यवस्था व्यक्ति स्वतंत्रता का अधिकार छीन लेती है, यह हमने देखा है। जर्मन और अफगानिस्तान में क्या हुआ सभी जानते हैं। सोवियत संघ क्यों बिखर गया यह भी कहने की बात नहीं है। भविष्य में देखेंगे आप चीन को बिखरते हुए।  
लोकतंत्र को परिपक्व होने दें : हमें विश्व के सबसे बड़े लोकतांत्रिक देश होने का गर्व है। हमारा लोकतंत्र धीरे-धीरे परिपक्व हो रहा है। हम पहले से कहीं ज्यादा समझदार होते जा रहे हैं। धीरे-धीरे हमें लोकतंत्र की अहमियत समझ में आने लगी है। सिर्फ लोकतांत्रिक व्यवस्था में ही व्यक्ति खुलकर जी सकता है। स्वयं के व्यक्तित्व का विकास कर सकता है और अपनी सभी महत्वाकांक्षाएँ पूरी कर सकता है। जो लोग यह सोचते हैं कि इस देश में तानाशाही होना या कट्टर धार्मिक नियम होने चाहिए वे यह नहीं जानते कि पाकिस्तान और अफगानिस्तान में क्या हुआ। वहाँ की जनता अब खुलकर जीने के लिए तरस रही है। ये सिर्फ नाम मात्र के देश हैं।  
लोकतंत्र बनेगा गुणतंत्र : हमारा समाज परिवर्तित हो रहा है। मीडिया जाग्रत हो रही है। जनता भी जाग रही है। युवा सोच का विकास हो रहा है। शिक्षा का स्तर बढ़ रहा है। टेक्नोलॉजी संबंधी लोगों की फौज बढ़ रही है। इस सबके चलते अब देश का राजनीतिज्ञ भी सतर्क हो गया है। ज्यादा समय तक शासन और प्रशासन में भ्रष्टाचार, अपराध और अयोग्यता नहीं चल पाएगी तो हमारे भविष्य का गणतंत्र गुणतंत्र पर आधारित होगा, इसीलिए कहो....गणतंत्र की जय हो। 
गणतंत्र दिवसभारत में 'गणतंत्र दिवस' 26 जनवरी को मनाया जाता है। 1950 में 26 जनवरी को भारत में नया संविधान, भारत का संविधान लागू हुआ था।  
गणतंत्र दिवस भारत में मनाये जाने वाली तीन राष्ट्रीय छुट्टियों में से एक है। इस दिन नई दिल्ली में विशेष परेड का आयोजन किया जाता है। राष्ट्रपति परेड क़ी सलामी लेते हैं। राजपथ पर परेड का भव्य आयोजन होता है। भारतीय सेना क़ी तीनों विंग इसमें हिस्सा लेती हैं। 
देश के सभी राज्यों क़ी राजधानियों में झंडा रोहण एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रमों का आयोजन किया जाता है। सभी सरकारी, अर्द्ध-सरकारी, निगम एवं प्रशासनिक कार्यालयों में झंडारोहण का कार्यक्रम होता है। स्कूल एवं कालेजों में विभिन्न कार्यक्रम, खेल-कूद एवं प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन भी होता है तथा विजेताओं को सम्मानित किया जाता है।

Good morning to all. My name is…… I read in class….. As we all know that we have gathered here on the very special occasion of our nation called as Republic Day of India. I would like to narrate a Republic Day speech in front of you. First of all I would like to say a lot of thank to my class teacher as just because of her I have got such a wonderful opportunity in my school to come on this stage and speak something about my beloved country on its great occasion of Republic day. India is a self-governing country since 15th of August 1947. India got independence from the British rule on 15th of August in 1947 which we celebrate as Independence Day, However, on 26th of January since 1950 we celebrate as Republic Day. The Constitution of India came into force on 26th of January in 1950, so we celebrate this day as the Republic Day every year. This year in 2016, we are celebrating 67th republic day of India. Republic means the supreme power of the people living in the country and only public has rights to elect their representatives as political leader to lead the country in right direction. So, India is a Republic country where public elects its leaders as a president, prime minister, etc. Our Great Indian freedom fighters have struggled a lot to the “Purna Swaraj” in India. They did so that their future generations may live without struggle and led country ahead. The name of our great Indian leaders and freedom fighters are Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Shekher Ajad, Lala Lajpath Rai, Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel, Lal bahadur Shastri, etc. They fought continuously against the British rule to make India a free country. We can never forget their sacrifices towards our country. We should remember them on such great occasions and salute them. It has become possible just because of them that we can think from our own mind and live freely in our nation without anyone’s force. Our first Indian President was Dr. Rajendra Prasad who said that, “We find the whole of this vast land brought together under the jurisdiction of one constitution and one union which takes over responsibility for the welfare of more than 320 million men and women inhabit it”. How shame to say that still we are fighting with crime, corruption and violence (in the form of terrorist, rape, theft, riots, strikes, etc) in our country. Again, there is a need to get together to save our country from such slavery as it is pulling our nation back from going to its main stream of development and progress. We should be aware of our social issues like Poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, global warming, inequality, etc in order to solve them to go ahead. Dr. Abdul Kalam has said that “If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel there are three key societal members who can make a difference. They are the Father, the Mother and the Teacher”. As a citizen of the country we should think seriously about it and do all possible efforts to lead our nation.Thanks, Jai Hind.
